HERE ARE A FEW THINGS THAT ARE IMPORTANT TO YOU AND YOUR PLAYER/CHEERLEADER:
Coaches interviews and approvals are handled in the off-season. Teams are put together after the final (late) registration in July.
Keep in mind, our teams are formulated with 2 things in mind.
'Grandfathered' players and 'unassigned' players:
GRANDFATHERED PLAYERS are those that have previously played for a coach, were within that coaches boundaries, and wish to play for the
same coach the following year.
UNASSIGNED PLAYERS are those that are new to SEV, wish to play for a different team from the previous year or have a coach or assistant coach
that is not returning from the previous year. These players are assigned to teams based on the 'neighborhood boundaries'. In 2011, we are attempting to align with the High School boundaries. This satisfies our goals regarding keeping the players on their respective (municipal) fields and allows SEV to work with the high schools closer than we have in the past.
